Executive NetworksThe Skills and Productivity Forum
The Skills and Productivity Forum (SPF) brings together leaders and executives from business, government, and education to examine strategic issues relating to skills and productivity. The key mandate of the Forum is to create a National Skills and Productivity Action Plan for addressing new and emerging skills and productivity issues affecting all Canadian organizations. Forum membership also offers a unique opportunity to explore the connection between skills and productivity, to share best practices in the strategic management of human capital, and to help shape the growing culture of learning and skills development that supports the productivity and competitiveness of Canadian firms.
The Quality Network for Universities
The Quality Network for Universities (QNU) brings together provosts and vice-presidents from across the country with responsibilities across university administration, including research, finance and operations, academics, and student affairs. It offers learning, dialogue, and best-practice exchanges around critical strategic issues facing today’s universities. By hearing from experts and leaders in other sectors, pooling experience, and debating alternatives, members gain fresh insights, identify new strategies, and avoid costly mistakes in addressing the unique challenges faced by our universities.
The Leaders’ Roundtable on Immigration
The Leaders’ Roundtable on Immigration (LRI) brings together three key stakeholder groups—business leaders and executives, government leaders and officials, and experts and practitioners—to address common issues relating to immigration. The objective of the Roundtable is to engage leaders in developing and implementing effective strategies for attracting, integrating, and retaining immigrants to ensure sustainable competitiveness. Canada has moved into an era of chronic labour shortages. Immigrants are a critical source of talent for all Canadian employers. Employers must take full advantage of immigrants’ talents to meet their workforce needs and to enhance organizational competitiveness and growth. The primary focus of the LRI is to increase business investment in immigrants and to foster government policies and programs that support workplace initiatives.
